Over the past few seasons Chaparral High School in Parker, Colorado has become a hot spot for DI offensive line talent. The class of 2009 saw tackle Jack Harris commit to Colorado, while 2011 lineman Brendon Austin is a national level recruit who has already gained double digit offers. The next Chaparral lineman that could have an impact in regard to recruiting and Colorado high school football fields is Shane Callahan. The 6-6 285 pound junior to be has a big frame and mauling style that will catch the attention of DI programs.
What is your favorite thing about playing high school football?
I love the game and every part of it but most of all I enjoy working hard and seeing the improvement from that hard work.

Height 6-6, weight 285.
What is your greatest football memory?
So far it has to be winning the game against Douglas County my freshman year.
What are your personal goals for the season?
To keep getting stronger and more explosive.
How will you prepare for this upcoming season?
I will continue to work out after school and during the summer.
Will you attend any camps?
I do plan on attending several college camps but have not decided on which ones at this time.
What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve?
I have gained strength and the confidence needed for our offensive game.
What area would you like to keep improving on?
Keep working on gaining more strength.

For the class of 2012 – Chris Page, Shane Keith, Drew McReynolds and Spencer Vogt.
Name one teammate you really respect.
Jordan Serena, He is a great leader and encourages everyone on and off the field.
What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
I hope to play and make a big difference.
Who is currently recruiting you?
I have had recruiting interest from CU, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Penn State.
Who is the best player you ever played against?
Freshmen year I was invited to the Nike Camp in Boulder and competed against some of the best upper classmen in the western region.
Name one team who you really respect.
I think you always have to respect Mullen or any team Dave Logan coaches. They will be well coached and always seem to do what it takes to get the win.
What other sports do you play?
I play basketball and throw shot and discus for the track team
How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
I believe coach Dobbs would call me a leader, smart, strong, and able to get nasty. He has told me that I am very coachable and respectful.

Always Work hard, appreciate what I have and enjoy high school because it goes by quickly.
