MileHighSportsPreps finishes up its first season of live streaming football with a bang as they bring viewers games from Thursday through Saturday.
On Thursday, from Everly Montgomery Field in Longmont, viewers will get a look at one of the top prospects in Colorado for the class of 2011 as Dorian Brown and his Thompson Valley squad takes on skyline. Both squads have had difficult seasons, but the 6-2 225 pound Brown is always fun to watch as he combines his prototypical size with great speed. Four times this season Brown has gone over 200 yards.
Friday from Everly Montgomery, hungry 3A teams Silver Creek and Berthoud square off. Each sitting at 5-3, a win gives some MO as they head into season finales next week. QB Zach Ruebesam of Berthoud has been solid all year. For Silver Creek, young quarterback Austin Apodaca, working with senior speedster Brett Wright have become a scary big play combo.
Friday, the early game from Jeffco pits Dakota Ridge against Lincoln. Dakota Ridge is coming off a tough 52-48 loss to Golden last week in an offensive showdown. Dakota Ridge junior QB Bolton Howes has been hot lately. Watch his work with fellow junior Derek Vander Velde who is averaging over 22 yards a reception.
In the late game Friday from Jeffco, Regis takes on Lakewood. Regis, 4-4 has won three in a row including wins over Bear Creek and Chatfield. It looks as if the Raiders are playing good ball at the right time of the season. Lakewood is on a four game losing streak, a win is needed now! Regis running back Marcus Walker is coming off of a 185 yard, four touchdown performance against Chatfield.
Saturday, Longmont hosts Sand Creek in a late season non league game, the Longmont D hopes to play trick not treat against the Scorpions’ multi-talented signal Quadri Carter. The Longmont defense may have a chip on its shoulder having surrendered 48 points to Greeley West last week.
