Interest Increases for Heritage WR

Receiver Brandon Kaufman of Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado looks healed from an injury that took away his senior season and D1 schools are again starting to take notice of the big and talented pass catcher.

After hurting his knee this past summer and missing his entire senior football season, 6-5 205 pound receiver Brandon Kaufman of Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado saw his recruiting prospects dry up.  Although he missed football season, Kaufman, also a top 4A basketball player, was cleared to play basketball and in his first game on December 17th Kaufman looked more than 100% scoring 18 second half points.  January 7th, in his second basketball game back, Kaufman had a triple double scoring 21 points, getting 10 rebounds and 10 steals.  Football coaches from Eastern Washington and North Dakota attended the game and seemed more than impressed with the health of Kaufman's knee.

Along with North Dakota and Eastern Washington, other D1 schools are showing interest.  According to Kaufman's father, the University of Colorado and Oregon State have invited Brandon to make official visits.  Also, New Mexico has started to contact Brandon.  Boise State has opted not to offer Brandon a scholarship, but they have invited him to walk on.  Kaufman, who has offers from DII CSU Pueblo and Western State, plans on making an official visit to North Dakota on January 24th.

For his career Kaufman had 97 receptions and 16 touchdowns for an average of 20 yards a catch.
