Big Visit for Wheat Ridge Star

Wheat Ridge High School DB/RB Parker Orms will visit in state school this weekend.

Wheat Ridge High School senior RB/DB Parker Orms will make an official visit to the University of Colorado this weekend as the Buffs take on the #11 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys.  Orms has had a very strong senior season as he has rushed for over 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns while leading his Farmers to an 11-0 record and #2 seed in the 4A playoffs.  Last week in the first round of playoffs, Orms rushed for an astounding 350 yards leading his team to a 59-27 win over Rock Canyon.

This week, Orms and Wheat Ridge take on the #7 seeded Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans with the winner earning the right to move on to the semifinals of 4A football.  Orms is no stranger to playoff runs.  As a sophomore, Orms and his older brother Dylan were a big part of a Wheat Ridge team that won the state title.

Along with his skills as a running back, Orms is a talented return man and a very good safety.  This versatile set of skills has drawn offers from UNLV and Wyoming.  If Colorado offers, it will be Orms' first BCS offer. Recommended Stories
