Evergreen High School may have shored up its line with the addition of Chris Kosicki, a big Texas Transfer.

Evergreen High School may have gained some help in the trenches this past off-season with the addition of Texas transfer Chris Kosicki.  Kosicki, who goes 6-3 285, may be the presence the Cougars need to rebound from a tough 07 season.

 

What is your favorite thing about playing high school football?

"Being able to legally hit someone as hard as you want. Being part of a team."

 

What were your stats from last season?

"67 Pancake blocks and 42 tackles."

 

What is your official height and weight?

"6-3 285."

 

What are your personal goals for the season?

"Making at least All-Conference, try my best for All-State. Also, 100 Pancake Blocks."

 

How will you prepare for this upcoming season? Will you attend any camps? 

"Lift weights 4 times a week, run 2 days a week. I will try to attend camps. None in Colorado that I know of."

 

What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
"I have really worked hard on run blocking and pass blocking, more success at run blocking. I plan to work on pass-blocking and feet work. Also getting in better shape."

 

Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for? 

"Greg Hoffman and Drake Brown, both defensive ends."

 

 Name one teammate you really respect and tell us why?

 "Jeff Yearsley, extremely hard worker, very committed."

 

 What are your goals regarding playing football in college?

 "Getting a scholarship for the school I want."

 

Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet? Who are your top 5?
"Nebraska-Kearney. Western New Mexico State, Colorado School of Mines. Colorado College. No offers. Top 5 are: 1. University of Colorado at Boulder, 2. Colorado State University. 3. Air Force. 4. University of New Mexico. 5. Colorado school of Mines."

 

 Would you consider staying in state to play in college?

"Yes."

 

What other sports do you play?

"Varsity ice hockey."

 

What are your best max lifts in the bench, squat, power clean and 40 yard dash?
"Bench- 245,  Squat- 405,  Clean-225, 40- 5.5"

 

 How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?

 "Team Leader, smart, and aggressive."

 

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?

"Jake Long, He is an inspirational hard worker. Played for my favorite team."

 

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Who did you receive it from?

"Expect the Unexpected, My father."


If Kosicki can improve his strength and speed and put together a strong senior season, he may become a player schools take a shot at.
