The 6-1 190 pound Gaye says, "Illinois
and Syracuse were the first schools to contact me
during this recruiting process. Illinois came out to see me over a month ago.

Conference. That conference has three teams ranked in the top 10, including
State that was ranked #1
all last year until they lost in the BCS championship game. The Big 10 is

Gaye just finished track season, where
he is one of the state's top sprinters and is going to keep on working through
the summer. He adds, "As far as football camps this summer, I
can't say for sure what camps I'll be going to but I'll probably go to the Nike
Camp in Boulder
on June 2nd."
Quite a few other schools are expressing
interest in Gaye and may be close to offering. He says that
Georgia, Louisville, Boise State,
Kansas State, Washington State, San
Diego State and
Utah are among those schools. He also
adds, "I got a call at home a few nights ago from one of
the coaches at Notre Dame. We talked for about 15 minutes. He said he'll be
watching me when the season starts."
Gaye currently lists a top
seven of Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Georgia, Illinois, New Mexico
State and Wyoming in no particular order.
Gaye was hurt for most of
his junior year but was very productive on his limited touches. He had 275 yards
rushing and 4 TDs on just 12 touches.
