With season fast approaching Jack Maly is focused on his Regis squad.

In less than two weeks the Regis Jesuit Raiders kick off their season with a marquee matchup against highly touted and very talented Cherry Creek.  Key for the Raider’s success this season is a big and experienced offensive line.  Most recruiting aficionados know Regis right tackle Tim Lynott, but opposite Lynott manning the left side in 6-5 270 pounder Jack Maly.

Maly, who has multiple college options based on his play and strong academics, has yet to make a college decision.  Right now Northern Colorado, Idaho State as well as South Dakota and South Dakota State are on board with offers.  Further, Maly, a great student, is gaining significant Ivy interest.

Right now Maly is not thinking about recruiting but rather his Regis squad.  Looking at his team and their preseason practices Maly says, “We are looking really good.  We came together as a family of brothers…We trust each other and one aspect of the team that stands out to me is how competitive we are.”  Following his team first mantra, Maly will limit the number of visits he makes due to the fact that Regis practices on Saturdays and Maly wants, “to be there for my teammates and not miss a practice during the season.  I will make most visits after the season.”

Maly has yet to decide what visits he will take, but he plans on putting his film out after the first two games, see if more schools show interest and plan his visits from there.  Besides the opener against Cherry Creek, Regis plays Mullen, Cherokee Trail and Denver South in the first month of the season.  Each school boasts DI talent and as such numerous colleges coaches will be in attendance.  When they show, recruiter’s eyes will be drawn to the long frame and physical play of Maly.

Projecting, it is unlikely that Maly will go the first month of the season without adding to his offer sheet.  Currently holding FCS offers, expect mid-majors, especially Mountain West schools to get on board.
