Broomfield DL Makes Commit

Broomfield DL Makes Commit

2015 Broomfield defensive lineman Blake Whitsell makes his commit.

2015 Broomfield two way lineman Blake Whitsell reports to PrepColorado that he has committed to South Dakota State University.

The All-State performer will play defensive tackle for the Jackrabbits.  Last season South Dakota State gained nine wins making it to the FCS playoffs.  Breaking down his decision to go with the Jackrabbits despite multiple offers from other programs Whitsell cites, “great coaches, great town, great people.  It felt like home.” Looking at his game and what he brings to South Dakota State Whitsell says, “I think I bring talent and leadership.”

With his decision now out of the way Whitsell can focus on his Broomfield squad.  This season the Eagles look to improve on their 6-4 record.  Breaking down his squad and their practices thus far Whitsell says the team is, “looking great!  I haven’t seen the players or coaches work this hard since I’ve been at Broomfield.”

A tough, hardworking, technically sound player who always seems to be in the right position, Whitsell could contribute early for the Jackrabbits.
