Recruiting News and Notes

2015 S Jalen Moore of Denver East

Colorado's best hit the camp trail to put their games on display.

Summer Camp
The official start of summer is still a couple of weeks away, but summer camps season  has started as Colorado's best hit the road to put their games on display.

Douglas County's Rope Ruel and crew hit Colorado State as did Bear Creek's Tony Bello.

Kansas State also has seen many of Colorado's best over the past few days.  Gabriel Watkins and multiple of his Valor teammates participated in 7on7 in Manhattan. While there Watkins got to spend time with Mike Cox the linebacker coach for the Wildcats.  Joseph Parker of Cherry Creek was also in Manhattan as was Rock Canyon's Ryan Hommel

2015 Regis OT Jack Maly camped with the Huskers this past weekend. 2015 DB Avery Anderson of Pine Creek, an early Nebraska commit, was also in Lincoln this weekend.

Chaparral QB Kyle Gallup is looking to camp at the University of Central Florida and Florida International next week.

Quick Takes

Denver East safety Jalen Moore says Northern Colorado and South Dakota State are showing more and more interest.

6-4 230 pound, 2015 Pine Creek DE Josh Klyn will camp at Colorado, Colorado State, Air Force, Wyoming, Iowa and UCLA in June.  Klyn is also hearing from New Mexico State, Idaho State, Northern Colorado, School of Mines and CSU-Pueblo.

After a season ending injury this past fall, it is good to see 2015 Mullen WR Ryan Manning gain a first offer.  Earlier this week, Manning reported School of Mines offered.

Reviewed film of 2015 Valor DT Turner Henington and was impressed how fundamentally sound he is.  Henington is not the strongest or fastest player, but he does many things very well; pad level, get off, hands and multiple moves are all there.

2016

Congrats to Fairview OLB Carlo Kemp for being selected as one of Scout.com's top 300 players.  According to Scout, Kemp is the 12th ranked outside backer for the Class of 2016.  Last season Kemp had 82 tackles, 15 for loss.  Kemp also blocked five kicks, caused six fumbles and had a pic six. Kemp has offers from Boise State, Colorado and Colorado State and is hearing from schools across the nation.  Kemp's offer sheet will expand over the next few months.
