2014 Overland High School linebacker Tre Thomas potentially has the most upside on any prep linebacker in Colorado. The 6-3 207 athlete competes in multiple sports with intensity and versatile play. In high school Thomas is and in college Thomas could be, a three down backer due to his ability to play inside and out, cover, come off the edge and play against the run.
Currently UTEP, Northern Colorado, New Mexico and Colorado State have all made offers to Thomas. Despite the recruiting attention Thomas has no solid timeline regarding making a decision and currently feels he will wait until the end of the season to make a decision. Thomas' patient attitude is further seen as he is waiting to plan his official visits.
When asked about what he has improved regarding his game Thomas confidently says, "everything, I'm bigger, faster and stronger." This confidence as well as the ability to do everything are cornerstones of Thomas' game and should serve him well for his senior season and in college.
Despite multiple offers, 2014 Overland linebacker Tre Thomas is staying patient regarding his college commit.
