Recruiting News and Notes 6/20/13

OL Connor Simpson of Prairie View

Multiple Colorado prospects continue to impress this offseason.

2015 prospect Jordan Willis, a 6-4 wide receiver from Denver East has gained attention this offseason combining a 4.7 forty with great size and the ability to catch in traffic. Willis is also a member of the very good Denver East basketball team. This is a big, long striding wide receiver that creates matchup problems and should, over the next two seasons, attract college looks.

Zach Patterson of Prairie View another big 2015 pass catcher is on the camps circuit this offseason making stops in state at Colorado State and CSU-Pueblo. Along with pass catching skills the 6-4 210 pound tight end carries a 4.3 GPA.

Speaking of big pass catchers, Metise Moore of Denver South continues to impress, most recently at Boise State camp. It looks like Colorado State and Boise State are showing the most interest in the 6-4 235 pound 2014 tight end. Next up for Moore is IMG Madden 7 on 7 as well as camps at Colorado State and Arizona State in July.

2014 Windsor running back Will Dressor was set for a strong junior campaign previous to a season ending injury. Now healed, Dressor is a player to watch this upcoming season. Recently Dressor posted hand timed forties of 4.49 and 4.53 at team camp. Currently Dressor is getting DII attention from Colorado School of Mines, Augustana and Sioux Falls.

Prairie View lineman Connor Simpson had a nice showing at Northern Colorado camp and is in contact with multiple schools. Simpson, a 6-3 255 pound offensive guard may camp at Colorado State and Arizona State in July.

Recently watched film of 2014 QB Brody Oliver of Elizabeth and 2015 QB Kyle Winkler of Chatfield. Oliver does a very good job of throwing on the run and from multiple platforms. He fits nicely in a spread/pistol offense; word is multiple DIIs including Chadron State are interested.

Winkler is very good at throwing on the run and is not afraid to place the ball in tight windows. He is decisive and has a quick release. Most impressive, Winkler is not afraid to stand in and take a hit to complete the pass. He will be fun to watch going into his junior year with experience in the offense.
