Douglas County Lineman Makes Choice

2014 Douglas County High School offensive lineman Jamin Smith makes college decision.

Douglas County High School Head Coach Jeff Ketron has informed PrepColorado that 2014 offensive lineman Jamin Smith committed to New Mexico State University over the weekend.

The 6-3 270 pound Smith is a two time All-Conference selection in football. Smith, a beast in the weightroom squats, 712 pounds, cleans 290 pounds and benches 370 pounds. Beyond football Smith is a top wrestler in Colorado and holds a 3.8 GPA.

Regarding Smith's commit to the Aggies Ketron says, "He is a great kid and this will be a great fit." Smith is the second Douglas County athlete to commit in the past week. Last week speedy Douglas County RB Trey Smith committed to Colorado State. Recommended Stories
