O-D Bowl: Dan Skipper

Ralston Valley OT Dan Skipper has more visits

FOX Sports NEXT is Scout.com is on the scene in Houston for the 2012 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. While there, we caught up with Ralston Valley offensive tackle Dan Skipper from Arvada, CO.

Based on the talk with Arvada (CO) Ralston Valley offensive tackle Dan Skipper, there is a bit of transitioning going on. For one, while at the O-D Bowl practices, he is working at a new position.

And with his recruitment, he is actively seeking the right fit before National Signing Day 2013.

"I'm getting some good experience working in these guys. But there has been a transition for me since I have been here," Skipper said. "Playing on the right side is the biggest transition for me. I have never played on the right side before."

So the 6-foot-10, 295-pound Skipper is working on the opposite side, but getting lots of reps there. And though the left side seems to be his calling card as he moves on the next level, he seemed to be open to learning the other side.

The other transition that was mentioned is Skipper seeking the right program for him for next fall. He is currently a Tennessee commitment, but has already made one other trip and has another two scheduled.

"Right now, I am going to take all of my visits to make sure it is a good fit with Tennessee. I've got Ole Miss schedule on January 25 and I am still scheduling the last two, one of them will be to Arkansas," Skipper said.

Earlier this month, Skipper was on the campus of Michigan and enjoyed the trip. Throughout the process, Skipper has hauled in more than 20 offers from a number of Top 25 programs.
