DeSoto, TX
After beating No. 23 Coppell 42-14, DeSoto may have been ripe for a
letdown against a good Bowie team. Nope. The Eagles continue to roll
through the Texas playoffs with a solid 24-6 win. Southlake Carroll will
be DeSoto's toughest challenge to date.

University was another team poised for a let down after beating Top 50
American Heritage two weeks ago and facing a tough opponent this week.
Turns out, the Suns only got better. University shellacked a good
Clearwater Central Catholic team. University must face an always tough
Madison County squad this week.

team that North Allegheny beat two weeks ago, but I don't know if it was

didn't show as the Gauchos stifled a good Crenshaw team in the

California's Open Division Bowl Game.

Hoover left little doubt in beating a tough Clay-Chalkville team 44-20.
The Bucs get a surprising Opelika team they beat 30-7 on 11/1,
that has already avenged one regular season loss knocking off
Auburn two weeks ago. Opelika knocked No. 46 Carver out of the playoffs
last week.

Norcross (13-0) Norcross, GA
Norcross lost the coin toss but won the battle. The Blue Devils lost a
coin toss that forced them to travel 350 miles to Kingsland, Ga. to take
on No. 18 Camden County. The Blue Devils' ride home was much easier
after a 34-20 win. Norcross shouldn't won't have to travel moving
forward. They host Colquitt County this week, and should they advance,
the finals are in the Georgia Dome roughly 20 miles from campus.

Archbishop Moeller (12-3) Cincinnati, OH
Archbishop Moeller completed its own 2012 season comeback. After being
ranked in the Top 10 early in the season, the Crusaders dropped three
games before coming together as a team to beat powerhouses such as
Louisville Trinity, Colerain, and Whitmer.

knew, that the Archbishop Moeller playing after Halloween is a different

Division from Southern California.

to play in the Division 1 State Bowl game in two weeks.

(11/26) In an old-fashioned slugfest, Glenbard West
edged No. 41 Lincoln-Way East 10-8. What the game lacked in firepower it

in the closing minutes, and that stop proved to be the difference.

will be a National Title contender next year.
