Over the past two seasons few players have impressed me more than Eaglecrest safety Xavier Lewis. A tackling machine, the 6-0 190 pound makes plays all over the field against the run and the pass. Lewis' physical presence did not go unnoticed as he gained DI attention and is currently making a decision between Wyoming and Air Force.
As part of his final decision process Lewis will visit Wyoming the 7th-9th of December and he is currently setting up his visit to Air Force. Regarding his game and what he brings to a college program Lewis says, "I bring leadership on every level and being a great football player happens on and off the field. I'm self-motivated and bring an intense presence to the field."
A diverse defender who is comfortable in the box or in coverage, Lewis says Wyoming wants him to work at free and strong safety while Air Force wants him to play strong safety. In preparation for the college game Lewis feels he needs to, focus on speed work and ball skills."
A fierce warrior on the field who takes pride in his physical style of play, Lewis is also a top student, boasting a 3.64 GPA and membership in the National Honor Society.
