Phenoms Week 9

Pueblo West RB Derek Jackson highlights this week's Phenoms

A new face in the Phenoms is Lakewood sophomore Sean Pinson. Saving his best work for the rematch from last year's 5A championship game, Pinson posted 263 rushing in the 31-28 win over Columbine.

Christian McCaffrey scored three TDs in a blowout win over Palmer. What makes this so impressive for the highly touted 2014 prospect is the fact that he had the three scores on a total of seven touches. Working as a runner, receiver or returner McCaffrey has 20 scores on the season.

Senior RB Derek Jackson of Pueblo West continues his rushing assault. This past weekend in a 30-7 win over Pueblo Centennial, Jackson ran for 305 yards. Currently Jackson's Cyclones are unbeaten in 4A.

Wyoming bound wideout Tanner Gentry saved potentially his best game of the season for a big matchup against Cherry Cree. The athletic wideout had 6 catches for 145 and two scores to help his Wolves defeat the Bruins.

Senior RB Anthony Davis had four scores as Fountain-Fort Carson defeated Doherty this past Thursday. Davis, who has 18 scores on the season, has scored two or more touchdowns in seven games this season.

QB Austin Conway rushed for over 190 yards, scoring three times on the ground and once on a pass while leading Overland to a 42-13 win over Smoky Hill. The sophomore dual threat QB has combined for 21 scores this season.

Phydell Paris of Legacy posted 190 rush yards in 42-21 win over Boulder. Recommended Stories
