Derek Jackson of Pueblo West went crazy for 380 rush yards and five TDs in a 58-10 victory over Canon City. Jackson, in the monster performance, averaged over 19 yards a carry.
Quincy Brown of Denver East, in his first game back after sitting due to his transfer from Adams City, rushed for 161 yards on five scores and two TDs. For good measure Shahid Hoover posted 154 rush yards on four carries and four scores in a 61-7 win versus Adams City.
Tulsa bound legacy Ryan Rubley saved his best game for this weekend as he spearheaded an upset of #1 ranked Chaparral by throwing for 274 yards with three TDs against no interceptions in the 38-34 victory. Rubley’s primary receiver was senior Matt Yamane who had nine catches and a score.
Mead receiver Logan Anderson had six catches for 134 yards and 7 carries for 45 rush yards to help Mead defeat Berthoud 34-27.
Ground and pound Ralston took their shots through the air in a dominating 49-8 win over Boulder as QB Jacob Knipp hit on 5 of 7 for 233 yards and four scores in the air. All of this took place in the first quarter and half of play.
Uber athlete Sam Martin of Boulder Fairview had nine receptions, three for scores, and a touchdown pass as his Knights took down Arvada West 40-25. Martin also added a 74 yard punt return to set up a score.
In the past two games Rock Canyon senior RB Eric Williams has rushed for eight TDs and 448 yards.
Junior Matt McClintock of Conifer scored four times and rushed 296 yards as his squad beat D’Evelyn 50-38.
Speedster Brandon Cartagena of Vista Ridge had 266 rush yards and a 59 yard punt return in a 28-10 win over Rampart.
