Through the air or on the ground, big games brought week one wins.


Zach Guy of Chaparral averaged over 11 yards a carry on the way to 158 yards as the Wolverines defeated Rocky Mountain 34-3.

Regis sophomore RB Chukwuma Obinnah rushed for over 220 yards as Regis took care of Rangeview 36-21.

Senior Kenyan Hughley of Thornton passed the 200 yard barrier as his Trojans beat Hinkley 47-21.

Junior Trey Smith of Douglas County served notice to the state with 235 rush yards 2 scores on the ground and one via reception in a tight win against Fruita-Monument.

Bernard McDondle picked up where he left off last season averaging 11 yards a carry in a victory over Fort Collins 42-9.

Pueblo West RB Derek Jackson rushed for 241 yards as the Cyclones defeated Pueblo County 34-22.

Give it up for the always tough Monarch offensive line which forged the way for 395 rush yards in a commanding win over Greeley West 32-6.


Sophomore signal caller Johnny Feauto ushered in Fairview's pass offense with 351 yards and two scores. 6-3 junior Sam Martin was the primary recipient with seven catches for 153 yards.

Receiver Seth Trujillo of Conifer had 10 catches in a 40-8 win over Centaurus.

Justin Boldt caught four passes for over 100 yards and two scores and two TDs as Lyons won 26-3 over Elicott

T.J. Patterson of Boulder started the season nicely with 228 yards and three scores in a lopsided victory over George Washington.

Adam Montelongo completed four passes on the night, each a touchdown, leading Falcon to a 42-7 win over Widefield.

Air Academy athlete Geno Bigelo had one long score on the ground and one through the air as he rushed for 100 yards on three attempts and caught 5 passes for 98 yards as the Kadets defeated Pueblo Centennial 45-20 Recommended Stories
