This past weekend 2013 All-State running back Eric Williams of Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch participated at Holy Cross' football camp. The prolific runner, who posted over 2,000 yards last season, did well at the camp and pending a check from Holy Cross admissions may soon see an offer. Williams, who boast a strong GPA and is gaining attention from the Military Academies as well as Ivy League schools, should be able to get over the hurdle of Holy Cross admissions. Regarding his time at Holy Cross Williams said, "The school is great academically and it is in an absolutely beautiful area. The coaching staff was very kind and had plenty to teach us at the camp."
Now back home in Colorado, Williams, who holds an offer from South Dakota State, has many options regarding camps. Williams cites Wyoming, Colorado State, Holy Cross and the academies as the schools he is most interested in. With the time available to him Williams would like to make trips to South Dakota State, Yale, West Point and Montana State.
One of the most versatile performers in Colorado having rushed for over 2,000 yards, caught 25 passes and registered three interceptions, Williams has added significant weight and strength this offseason while moving his speed into the 4.5 range. This summer's camp performances as well as a strong senior campaign and his stellar academics should see Williams' offer list grow in the next few months.
