There has been little rest this year for talented Longmont two way lineman Marcus Johnson. The 6-4 270 pound All-State and All-Conference player went right from football to basketball and from basketball to track. In football, Johnson was a key component for a Longmont squad that was one of the best in 4A this past season. In basketball Johnson averaged nine points and four rebounds a game. Currently competing in track, Johnson is flirting with 50 feet in the shot put.
Johnson's size and surprising athleticism for a big man have yet to warrant a DI offer but multiple schools are showing interest in the 2013 prospect. According to Johnson, Wyoming and Colorado State are the two schools that are showing the most interest. Colorado State is looking at Johnson as a defensive linemen and Wyoming has yet to make that determination. As for Johnson he has no preference regarding which side of the ball he plays on in college.
Johnson is still working on his offseason plans but currently has camp visits scheduled for Colorado State, Wyoming and Colorado. With an interesting skill set of size and athleticism expect a first offer to come Johnson's way soon.
