Wednesday was the early sighing day for National Letters of Intent for college basketball here is a look at some of Colorado’s best who put pen to paper early.
Josh Scott (6'10" P Lewis-Palmer HS 2012) signed his National Letter of Intent to play his college basketball at the University of Colorado. Scott is the first nationally ranked prospect to sign with Colorado in the past ten years and could see significant playing time as a freshman next season. He headlines a strong recruiting class for Buff coach Tad Boyle. Scott averaged over 21 points a game last season.
Kaileb Rodriguez (6'9" CF ThunderRidge HS 2012) has signed his National Letter of Intent to play his college basketball at the University of California. Rodriguez averaged a double double last season with 14 points and 12 boards a game.
Tanner Samson (6'5" SG Regis HS 2012) has signed his National Letter of Intent to play his college basketball at Elon University. Samson was a key component in leading his Regis squad to a 5A state title last season. Samson is a very skilled outside shooter and has the chance to get early playing time.
Nate Engesser (6'3" CG Colorado Springs Christian HS 2012) has signed his National Letter of Intent to play his college basketball at the University of Denver.
Canyon Barry (6'5" SG Cheyenne Mountain HS 2012) has signed his National Letter of Intent to play his college basketball at the College of Charleston. Barry is the son of N.B.A. Hall of Famer Rick Barry and brother of former N.B.A. players Jon, Brent, Scooter and Drew Barry. Barry will play at the College of Charleston for Coach Bobby Cremins, who also coached his brothers Jon and Drew while at Georgia Tech. Per family requirement Canyon is a deadly outside shooter.
