Last season 2013 Denver East running back Shahid Hoover introduced himself to Colorado High School football by rushing for nearly 1,100 yards to go with nine scores. Most impressive about Hoover's sophomore campaign was the nine yards a carry he brought to each game establishing him as one of the top big play backs in the state.
Due to his strong season, busy offseason and impressive measurables, the 5-10 195 pound back is gaining interest outside of the state of Colorado. This past week his profile increased as he caught the eye of the Oklahoma coaching staff as he posted a 4.5 forty and a 4.2 shuttle at the Sooner's camp.
Hoover is not only on the radar of the Sooners but he is also getting looks from other DI programs. Colorado, Colorado State and Penn State have all shown interest in the young, up and coming back. Of this group Colorado State is showing the most interest and looks very excited about recruiting the talented young runner.
