Interest Grows for 2012 Lineman

Arvada West offensive lineman Austin Hendrickson is a sleeper to watch.

Numerous top programs from across the country have made the pilgrimage to Arvada West High School to talk with offensive tackle Paul Thurston, but if the colleges pay close attention they could get a steal with Thurston's teammate Austin Hendrickson. The 6-4 255 pound Hendrickson has yet to gain an offer, but the three sport athlete may have the skill set needed to play DI ball.

Along with playing baseball this spring, Hendrickson has made trips visiting the campuses of programs that have shown interest in him. So far Hendrickson has visited Colorado, Colorado State, Arizona and Arizona State. Hendrickson hopes to also make trips to Kansas and Utah. Although none of these programs have offered, Hendrickson says they are showing interest.

Running 5.0 in the forty and sporting a frame that can add good weight, Hendrickson is an attractive prospect that is flying slightly under radar. Currently a right guard, a move to center could come at the next level. Recommended Stories
